From Net Sessions to Intelligent AI

CrickTrackAI was created by Rudra Balkawade and Praj Sankpal. Built out of first-hand challenges on the cricket ground, we set out to give every player and coach an automated, offline-first biomechanics eye in their pocket.

history_edu Our Authentic Story

How a Fast Bowler's Quest for Technique Sparked CrickTrackAI

I was a fast bowler who was obsessed with mastering proper technique. Growing up, I received countless mixed responses on how to bowl fast safely and effectively. To find clarity, I began closely following international fast bowlers (especially from Australia) who executed clean, repeatable, athletic delivery actions. I learned through relentless trial and error, social media analysis, YouTube breakdown drills, and invaluable insights from coaches who possessed deep technical wisdom.

Yet, a massive barrier remained: elite coaches with advanced biomechanical knowledge understandably charge ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 a month for just a few private sessions, and can only take a handful of students at a time. For millions of passionate young cricketers across the country, high-level analysis simply wasn't accessible or affordable in their local area.

Human Eyes vs Multi-Point Focus

Coaches are human. The human eye can only focus on one point at a time (e.g. front foot OR arm slot), while AI can track every body joint simultaneously on every ball.

Missing Speed & Radar Gear

Speed guns and high-speed multi-angle cameras are essential for fast bowlers, yet absent from 95%+ of local academies.

Empowering Local Coaches

Grassroots coaches work with immense dedication. CrickTrackAI provides them with international-grade tracking tools so no micro-flaw goes unnoticed.

The Turning Point

"At first, I brushed the idea aside, thinking: 'Is this even possible? Would anyone want AI in their cricket training?' But late one night, while discussing these challenges with my father, he asked me a simple question that changed everything:"

“What’s the problem? If it’s better and helping them improve, why wouldn’t they use it?”

That conversation shifted my entire perspective. I immediately discussed the vision with my best friend and business partner, Praj Sankpal. Starting in June 2025, we went all in, coding and training computer vision models, and testing directly on the pitch. By August 2025, our joint efforts paid off when our very first internal testing app went live on the Google Play Store.

* Dedicated note: Coaches have been an invaluable foundation in our cricketing journey. CrickTrackAI is built to work hand-in-hand with coaches and players everywhere.
